I'm staying at Black Rock City Post Office 9 (BRCPO9) this year (2024), delivering and sorting postcards and packages. Here's everything you need to know about how to send and receive mail at Burning Man. Whether you're at Burning Man and want to send mail out to the default world, or your in the default world and may not realize it until after this sentence, you're in the right place. I'll explain each Scenario. Choose your own adventure:
From the Default World you use USPS (United States Postal Service) or UPS (United Parcel Service, Inc. ) with the address information explained below. Black Rock City (BRC) as addresses for theme camps and art. We stamp and deliver mail by bicycle, most of the time. I'll be making some deliveries.
If you are at Black Rock City (BRC) and you want to send mail to someone also at Burning Man while you're here, there is no stamps required. We are limited on volunteers and mail burners, but if it's important enough, we can get it to who you want it to be delivered to. Bring your mail to BRCPO9 at Esplanade & 8:01 and we'll make sure it gets to where it needs to glow.
If your at BRC and want to send mail to the Default World: Be sure to bring your own stamps or make a friend with a BRCPO9 mail or female mail burner. We have no obligation to use from our stamp stashes, but if you have a good stories, it's worth a stamp of approval from me! I plan to gift all my stamps & postcards.

Return addresses are required by USPS, and a good idea in case your package or letter is undeliverable / gets held up in the mail (arrives too late) / or has other issues.
