An agreegan is someone who agrees with veganism but has looser rules for themselves, so they are technically not vegan. An agreegan will have a mostly plant-based diet, preferring vegan food when available but have their own exceptions unique to life style, social dynamics, availability and avoiding food waste. Agreegans tend to admire the dedication of vegans and support the vegan movement but are less strict on themselves and may disagree with some minor aspects of veganism.
Agreeganism is a philosophy that acknowledges that now that we are in the 21st century, vegan principles are extremely important and ethically correct. This is primarily due to the atrocious conditions of factory farms and the environmental cost and destruction animal products cause compared to plant-based products. Agreegans value awareness and personal responsibility over the ignorance is bliss mentality of the masses and the standard American diet.
What we buy and eat has the biggest influence on the world than anything else we do. It is the single most important way we influence our health, the environment, other sentient beings and our spirituality. Therefore what we choose to eat should be in alignment with our personal belief of what kind of world we want to live in. Agreegans and vegans share their beliefs with others because we are all in this together. Consuming animal products is such a destructive act with victims, so it's something that effects us all.
This is an important movement of our time because of the devastating health, environmental and ethical destruction caused by the ignorance of eating a standard American diet known as carnism. Now that we live in the 21st century where we have access to scientifically research nutritional information stating that a plant-based vegan diet is more healthy than a carnist diet, an agreegan diet provides a way to escape the ignorance and mental cage known as the Meatrix, without the level of sacrifice and strictness required to be vegan. The animal agriculture industry has spent billions to create a false image of meat and dairy that plagues our society. Agreeganism is the declaration that the individual is aware of this and is taking steps to reject carnism and animal agriculture. By doing so an agreegan makes a positive stand for their health, society, the animals, the environment and the world.
Humans are more similar to herbivore than omnivores or carnivores. In particular, our teeth and long intestines match that of a herbivore. Humans have only recently started eating meat due to the development of fire and hand made knifes. The human digestive system is not as acidic and is much longer than that of a other carnivores or omnivores.

Lyrics:
We eat flesh constantly, religiously and wickedly. We chomp on KFC and Mickey D’s delicious number 3’s.
But you’re the chicken, easily, if you can’t watch a DVD of factories that murder animals compassion-free. Tragically we sometimes think our meat comes magically and not from torture,

Carnism is the invisible belief system that conditions people to eat certain animals. It is basically the opposite of veganism.
The term was coined by social psychologist Melanie Joy in 2001 when she stated that the lack of terminology around consuming animal products was part of the problem.

built by the inmates, who are also guards.
That is an example of a mental cage.

It's time to make better, more informed choices. Each Generation decides what cruelty they will tolerate. Times have changed. Farming practices has become an atrocity. Nutritional availability and research has improved. We now know that a plant-based diet is the best suited diet for the 21st century. The animal cruelty is not necissary,
"A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us,
This is an idea I brainstormed for many years to come up with a way to influence consumer spending primarily through education and personal responsibility. I am no longer working on it, but do think it's a good idea and would benefit society if it was an active organization.
Guruji Sri Vast talks of our concept of family and why that concept needs to be broadened to include all people, not just those inside your house.
"You see so many people left alone. Why? Because of our concept of family."

This is such a cleaver and entertaining music video that explains to the viewer how they fit into the heirachry of power. This particularly illuminates an important aspct of agreeganism: If you don't like the feeling of being oppressed, then don't oppress other sentient beings who also don't like being oppressed.
